When a company wants to get the input from others outside of the internal organization on strategy development or strategic positions, they want input from a firm who can be constructively critical as well as offer suggestions on how to improve the strategy itself. Getting agreement to everything presented is not expected nor desired.
Using TurnRight to evaluate or critique a strategy is extremely valuable. The client not only gets the benefit of decades of experience of developing strategies but also the benefit of decades of experience of having to execute on the same strategies.
TurnRight is not a hands-off consulting firm. If you take advantage of TurnRight’s experiences you should not expect a report to be written and a handshake on the way out the door. You should expect TurnRight to be at your side as much as you want them to be to see the strategy executed. You demand results and TurnRight measures their contribution by the results you achieve.
Please note that the great majority of TurnRight’s experience comes from working with companies in crisis, which were under-performing, were in bankruptcy. This environment demanded the strategy selected be right the first time. There were no second chances. And while some short-term decisions were made to the detriment of longer-term goals, working in that arena was probably the best training ground anyone could ask for. Now that experience can be your experience.
